Due to some very unpleasant emails I received after making some comments about racism in the Middle East, I have deleted the original Lonely Trader blog.

We are a nasty, brutish lot -- even if we are well dressed, educated and "civilized". The venerated blogosphere seems to amplify this to a degree that I am uncomfortable with. Some people seem to treat it as a form of entertainment. Others, with thicker skins than I, seem to laugh it off.
